This paper aims to understand the conflicts of post-modernity, represented in the film Polarides Urbanas (2008), through the social practices of the subjects. Specifically, we seek in this paper to discuss the diverse elements of social representation that are related dialectically in the social formation of subjects, highlighting the complexities that arise as they interact with others in their different living spaces. In post-modern narratives, the representation of processes of construction and deconstruction of identity offers a range of possibilities when it comes to understanding and recognition of various social masks in the profile of our society. Researchers such as Hanna Arendt (2007), Linda Hutcheon (1991), Nestor Garcia Canclini (2008), Stuart Hall (2005), Martin-Barbero (2004) and Muniz Sodr (2000) underlie the reflections in this work.
