This article makes reference to the importancethat geographic denominations have acquired inthe last years, mainly because the have influencedin the enhancement and promotion of productswith cultural and territorial peculiarities as commercialinstruments. As a consequence, the transversalthesis presented in the article, is explicitlybased on some experiences, which application exceedthe effects in the commercial field and standout as coadyuvants in the integral rural development. Therefore, invite the reader to know the impact theyhave had as cultural productive projects. The promotionand the value of resources, not only encourage the ruraldisadvantaged communities to a economical sustainableand lasting state but also to a major social articulationand appreciation of their culture.
