Percutaneous closure of a left ventricular pseudoaneurysm: Case report with review of cases
Abstract
Percutaneous device closure of a left ventricular (LV) pseudoaneurysm have been rarely reported. We describe the case of a 60-year-old woman who thrice underwent mitral valve surgery before she presented to us with shortness of breath and chest pain for 2 weeks. Echocardiography (Echo revealed LV pseudoaneurysm with neck size of 12mm. The pseudoaneurysm was closed percutaneously with use of a 16-mm AMPLATZER muscular VSD occluder successfully.
