An integrated approach to the treatment of benign breast diseases Plashchinskaya A.M., Krasenkov Yu.V., Mikhelson A.F., Lebedenko E.Yu., Feoktistova T.E. Rostov State Medical University, Rostov-on-Don In recent years, a rapid increase in the incidence of benign breast diseases (BBD) in women has been reported in the world. Currently, there are suggestions that the normalization of the emotional sphere and the decrease in the body weight of a woman can inhibit the development of BBDs and, consequently, reduce the risk of their malignant transformation. Aim: to substantiate the effectiveness of the introduction of an integrated approach to the treatment of patients with fibrocystic mastopathy. Patients and Methods: 62 women with fibrocystic mastopathy aged from 18 to 35 years were included in the study. The quality of life was assessed (anxiety and depression index), the body mass index was determined, and the influence of these factors on the processes of cell proliferation was studied. To conduct adequate treatment, related specialists were involved: a psychotherapist, a dietician. Systematic classes were organized to correct the psychoemotional status, an individual plan for weight reduction was developed. Results: significant risk factors for the development of benign breast diseases were studied: quality of life of patients (anxiety and depression index), body mass index (obesity). Before the start of treatment, a significant proportion of patients experienced anxiety and had symptoms of depression, which were related to both the presence of the underlying disease and personal stress situations. By the end of the course of treatment, a high level of anxiety and depression was completely eliminated in all patients. The participation of a dietician in the complex treatment allowed to reduce by 3 times the number of patients with obesity due to the use of an individually developed treatment plan. As a drug therapy, a modern selective estrogen receptor modulator, the drug Indinol Forto, was used. Conclusion: an integrated approach to the treatment of patients with benign breast diseases makes it possible to achieve  a positive effect on the general condition of the patient and to correct the disturbed processes of cell proliferation.
