La natura della percezione. La fenomenologia di Husserl e la psicologia della percezione
Abstract
The Nature of Perception. The Phenomenology of Edmund Husserl and the Psychology of Perception - This paper deals with the relation between phenomenology and the psychology of perception. In the first part of the paper I will present some basic assumptions qualifying the investigation of perception in the fields of theoretical (pure) phenomenology and so-called experimental phenomenology. Next, I will deepen the analysis taking into account the specific concept of perception proper to Edmund Husserl’s phenomenology and a deflationary concept of perception compatible with a psychological perspective in order to shine light on the possibility of an integrative approach to perception which aims to unify the phenomenological and the psychological analyses while fully respecting their particularities. In the last part of the paper I will try to present some commonalities between Edmund Husserl’s phenomenological analysis of perception and the investigation of perception developed by Paolo Bozzi and Cesare Musatti from a psychological point of view.
