Le financement de l’archéologie en Suisse dans la seconde moitié du xxe siècle

Abstract

In Switzerland archaeology has generally been the responsibility of the cantons. However, over the recent past, it was also funded by the federal state. In addition, since its creation in 1952, solid financial support was provided by the Swiss National Science Foundation (SNSF). From the mid-1950s on, the SNSF indeed exerted strong influence on the practices and organisation of Swiss archaeology.
