The Management of the Sport in School Projects: Implementation, Monitoring and Evaluation
Abstract
The objective of this work was to understand the peculiarities of implementation and monitoring of projects developed in extra-curricular school sports in the state of Paraná. The sample was composed of 49 managers representing the 32 regional centers of education in the state. Data collection was conducted from semistructured interviews and adapted the instrument of UNESCO on management in Physical Education of quality. For the analysis of the qualitative data obtained through interviews was used the IRAMUTEQ software from the technique of descending hierarchical classification (CHD). The results indicated a negative discourse regarding the provision of sports projects supported the principle of democratic management. The class category analysis of the statements showed that observation and informal contacts are the main vectors used by managers to evaluate the conduct of sporting projects in the public schools of Paraná. It also noted the lack of an effective mechanism for monitoring and evaluation of the sporting projects developed in extra-curricular, which hinders the establishment of goals and standards of quality. It is concluded from the data obtained from the need to establish clear benchmarks for implementation and monitoring by the state department of Education about the objectives and goals of this policy
