Lopburi Cancer Center is the regional cancer center serving the patients at tertiary care level with 200 beds and locates approximately 150 kilometers from Bangkok. In 2005, Nuclear Medicine Service was established for investigation and treatment of cancer. Due to the lack of Nuclear Medicine staff, especially Nuclear Medicine physician, there is no Nuclear Medicine physician in the Lopburi Cancer Center. To solve this problem, Tele-Nuclear Medicine System developed and use for Tele-interpretation in Nuclear Medicine investigation. The process started with sending of Nuclear Medicine data (Image and others) to Tele-Nuclear Medicine System server by internet. Nuclear Medicine physician in Bangkok or Chiang Mai interpreted the data and sent back to Tele-Nuclear Medicine System. Finally, staff at the Lopburi Cancer Center printed out report to the patients. The investigation via the Tele-Nuclear Medicine System was comfortable and reduced travel expense of Nuclear Medicine physicians. The Tele-Nuclear Medicine System was shown to be appropriate for our country and can improve the life quality of people.
