The complete mitochondrial DNA genome of Tatia intermedia was first reported using next-generation sequencing method. The entire length of mitochondrial genome is 16,582 bp and the nucleotide composition was made up of 31.4% A, 26.7% T, 26.2% C, and 15.7% G, respectively, indicating an A + T (58.1%)-rich feature. With the exception of eight tRNA genes and NADH6, mitochondrial genes are encoded on the heavy strand, which was similar to that in other vertebrates. The phylogenetic relationship of T. intermedia and other Auchenipteridae species showed that the species of Auchenipteridae were gathered in the same branch.
