Massive pleural effusion due to asymptomatic pancreatic disease

Abstract

A Case of massive haemorrhagic pleural effusion with high amylase levels second-ary to asymptomatic pancreatic disease is reported. It is suggested that pleural fluid amylase content should be measured in any case of exudative pleural effusion of unknown aetiology.
