This paper presents a compact coradiator annular ring diversity antenna for various wireless applications in super wideband. The suggested layout is a common circular ring radiator, shared among the two elements, forming a multiple input multiple output system. The elements are fed in orthogonal polarization, promoting diversity. An equivalent circuit of the suggested structure is developed using Foster canonical model to study wideband behaviour. The antenna operates over a very popular Rogers substrate along with a staircase shaped partial ground structure loaded with a circular stub. The antenna has an overall volume of 29x29x0.8 mm3, operating over a wide bandwidth of 3–50 GHz. The antenna system provides enhanced decorrelation of ports, as is evident from the isolation value > 20 dB, between the ports. The system offers a gain of 8 dBi with good efficiency varying from 80 to 95 %. MIMO performance of the antenna is also presented upon analyzing the Envelope correlation coefficient (ECC 9.995 dB) and Mean effective gain (MEG = −3.01 dB). The developed layout is fabricated and all vital parameters are measured. The antenna suits various wireless communication applications covering future 5G, IoT and emerging 6G technologies.
