NARRATIVAS COMUNICACIONALES SOBRE EL USO Y LA INTERPRETACIÓN DE SITIOS ARQUEOLÓGICOS EN EL AUSTRO ECUATORIANO (Communicational Narratives on the Use and Interpretation of Archaeological Sites in Southern Ecuador)
Abstract
El presente artículo es un avance de investigación del proyecto «Materialidades, educación y público: usos y significados sociales del patrimonio arqueológico en el Sígsig», cuyo propósito está enfocado hacia la identificación de problemáticas educativas, comunicacionales y políticas en función de la arqueología y el patrimonio arqueológico en el Austro ecuatoriano. Así, este primer acercamiento se fundamenta en el análisis de la prensa escrita (diario «El Mercurio») desde el año 2007 hasta el 2021, considerando la categoría de uso social del patrimonio arqueológico. El objetivo es reconocer cómo interactúa y se representa la arqueología en los medios de comunicación bajo el principio conceptual de la arqueología pública. ENGLISH: This paper is a research advance of the project “Materialities, Education and Public: Uses and Social Meanings of the Archaeological Heritage in Sigsig”. Its purpose is focused on the identification of educational, communicational and political problems in terms of archaeology and archaeological heritage in southern Ecuador. This first approach is based on the analysis of the written press (“El Mercurio” newspaper) from 2007 to 2021, considering the category of social use of the archaeological heritage. The aim is to recognize how archaeology interacts and is represented in the media under the conceptual principle of public archaeology.
