Farmers’ Assessment of Audio-Visual Aids in Innovationdeiivery by Lagos State Agricultural Development Authority

The study investigated the roles of audio-visual media in innovation delivery by Lagos State Agricultural Development Authority as perceived by farmers. Data were obtained from 119 randomly selected respondents. Information was obtained from the respondents with the use of structured interview schedule. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics such as frequencies, means and percentages. Chi-square wasfurther used to determine relationships between variables. The results showed that the use of a combination of meetings, hand bills andfilm strip was assessed to be highly effective by the respondents (75.6%) with a total score of 328 (maximum score = 357). The test of relationship between combination of media resources and effectiveness in disseminating information indicated significant relationship as revealed by Chi-square results (e.g. of meetings, handbills andfilm strip, X~ 21.33; p<0.905).
