The issue of cultural heritage conservation and public awareness raising in relation to the unique character of the 1920s Soviet architecture keeps drawing attention to this topic. The purpose of this study is to demonstrate continuity in the architectural practice of one of the largest cities in the south of Russia, Rostov-on-Don, during the second half of the 1920s; and identify the traditions that are most resistant to changes in form building.
