The Return of the Prodigal Daughter: The Perception of Pushkin's Plot in D. N. Mamin-Sibiryak's Prose (In the Mountains, Unconditional Love)
Abstract
Referring to In the Mountains and Unconditional Love, the author studies the return of the prodigal daughter plot in D. N. Mamin-Sibiryak's prose. Using the recognizable motifs of Pushkin's The Stationmaster, the writer creates his own version of the classic plot taking into account the new historical context.
