The digital economy serves as a core driving force for the deep integration of cultural and tourism industries (ICTI). The study uses the modified coupled coordination degree model to measure ICTI. The influence of the digital economy on ICTI is analyzed from spatial and non-linear perspectives using provincial panel data in China. The findings indicate that: (1) ICTI exhibits an upward trend, transitioning from moderate imbalance to basic balance. (2) ICTI decreases from east to west, showing a “center-periphery” pattern. (3) The spillover effect of the digital economy on ICTI is greater in the short-term than in the long-term. In central regions, the digital economy positively impacts both local areas and their neighbors. (4) As the degree of government support increases, the digital economy has a non-linear intensification. This research provides a theoretical foundation and practical guidance for boosting the digital economy and fostering mutually beneficial collaborations within the ICTI.
