Aim. The work aim to identify and consider the state of war as an immanent phenomenon of reason. The subject of research is the process of the onset of war, considered in the context of its rational causality. The object of research is the logical, axiological and metaphysical moments immanently inherent in the mind, leading to the formation of the concept of “war” in the mind as a special meaning. The author examines in detail such aspects of the topic as key in this issue of the category “nothing”, “whole”, reveals the empirical attributes of the state of war. Particular attention is paid to the metaphysical aspect in the process of the appearance of the phenomenon of war as a state essentially different from the vital struggle. The main conclusion of the study is: the causality of the war is largely determined by the spiritual reflections inherent in the mind, connected with the peculiarities of contemplating the metaphysical ideas “nothing” and “whole”. Method or methodology of the work. The axiological method is used in the work, with the help of which the value field of the problem is determined, and the method of system analysis, which allows one to consider and analyze the determination of the state of war as an inherent phenomenon of rationality. Scope of the results. The results can be applied in philosophical analysis of anthropological, social, cultural and historical issues that explore the phenomenon of war, and also serve as a concept in the study of conflict resolution problems.
