The writer gives a representative outline of both mystic writings which have been translated into German or Czech and works written in both languages that stem from them. In them she stresses the pattern of the triple way leading a soul to God which is in accordance with the rules set for mystic literature. The writer points out to analogous imagination of those works (cf. the Supplement). They are based on the metaphores of The Song of Salomon and, at the same time, paraphrase its story: the night journey of the girl to her lover and, on the mystic level, of the soul to God. This epic basis is developed in a particularly innovative/break-through way especially in the poem "A Bundle of Myrrh Is my Well-Beloved unto me".
