El teatro de García Lorca en el cine de Pedro Almodóvar: Doña Rosita la soltera y Madres paralelas
Abstract
This work analyzes the presence of Federico García Lorca’s theatre in Pedro Almodóvar’s Parallel Mothers. The reference to Doña Rosita the Spinster in the film allows us to explore analogies and continuities that go beyond the quote or the tribute. As intertextuality, not only is there a parallelism between the theme of the film and the play, but there is a formal and aesthetic harmony present in the expressive system, in the treatment of the feminine and in the use he makes of space, through scenery, and time.
