Utilização de vermicomposto no crescimento de mudas de Hovenia dulcis Thunberg
Abstract
In spite of its good adaptation to the south of Brazil, Hovenia dulcis nursery behavior is little known in our environmental conditions. The growth of Hovenia dulcis seedlings under different dosages of vermicompost was evaluated. The experimental design used was entirely randomized with 5 treatments and 4 repetitions. The treatments were: control with 0% vermicompost, 10%, 20%, 30%, and 40% vermicompost, in a total volume of 185 cm3. Ninety days after seeding, the following parameters were measured: stem diameter, shoot height, dry weight of the above ground, root and total biomasses. The Hovenia dulcis seedlings responded positively, in all parameters measured, to the application of vermicompost. The recommended dosage for the production of seedlings of Hovenia dulcis is 40% vermicompost.
