BİLİŞSEL STİL İLE GİRİŞİMCİLİK EĞİLİMİ ARASINDAKİ İLİŞKİ: PAMUKKALE ÜNİVERSİTESİNDE BİR ARAŞTIRMA
Abstract
Öz: Girişimcilik kavramı, literatürde ekonomik, sosyolojik, kültürel yönden incelenmiş, girişimcilerin kişilik özellikleri, tercihleri, nitelikleri araştırılmış ancak, girişimcilerin bilişsel yönü gözardı edilmiştir. Bu araştırmanın amacı; öğrencilerin bilişsel stilleri ile girişimcilik eğilimleri arasındaki ilişkiyi tespit etmektir. Araştırma, Pamukkale Üniversitesinde beş farklı akademik birimde gerçekleşmiştir. Bu kapsamda önlisans ve lisans düzeyinde eğitim gören yükseköğretim öğrencilerine anket uygulanmış ve 680 öğrenciye ulaşılmıştır. Araştırmanın sonucunda; yükseköğretimde okuyan öğrencilerin bilişsel stilleri ile girişimcilik eğilimleri arasında anlamlı bir ilişki tespit edilmiştir. Buna göre, alan bağımsız bilişsel stil özelliklerine sahip öğrenciler, alan bağımlı öğrencilerden daha fazla girişimcilik eğilimi sergilemektedir. Ayrıca, önlisans eğitimi alan öğrencilerin bilişsel stilleri ile girişimcilik eğilimleri arasında anlamlı bir ilişki tespit edilmiştir. Önlisans düzeyinde de alansız bağımsız bilişsel stile sahip öğrenciler, alan bağımlı bilişsel stile sahip öğrencilere nazaran daha girişimci oldukları saptanmaktadır. Ancak bu iki değişken arasındaki anlamlı fark, lisans öğrencileri arasında bulunamamıştır. Ayrıca, gelir seviyesi ile bilişsel stil arasında anlamlı bir ilişki tespit edilmiştir. Araştırmada cinsiyet, bölüm, sınıf, daha önce bir işyerinde çalışma durumu gibi değişkenlerle, girişimcilik değişkeni arasındaki ilişki de incelenmiştir. Abstract: The concept of entrepreneurship is examined culturally, sociologically and economically in the literature and the characteristics, preferences and qualities of the entrepreneurs have been investigated, but the cognitive aspect of entrepreneurs has been ignored. The purpose of this research; to determine the relationship between cognitive styles and entrepreneurial tendencies of students. The research was carried out in five different academic units at Pamukkale University. In this context, a questionnaire was applied to associate degree and undergraduate students and 680 students were reached. As a result of the research; A significant relationship was found between the cognitive styles and entrepreneurship tendencies of the students studying in higher education. Accordingly, students with field-independent cognitive style characteristics show more entrepreneurship tendency than field-dependent students. In addition, a significant relationship was found between the cognitive styles and entrepreneurial tendencies of the students with associate degree. Students who have independent independent cognitive style at the associate level are found to be more entrepreneurial than the students with field dependent cognitive style. However, the significant difference between these two variables was not found among the undergraduate students. In addition, a significant relationship was found between income level and cognitive style.
