Some aspects of the process of mathematical modeling and computational experiment are considered. The modeling process is considered as a method of predicting the behavior of dynamic systems and processes, which allows implementing a chain from a full-scale experiment to a computational experiment. A special role in the progress of research on complex technical, environmental, biological, chemical, social and other systems belongs to the development of computer technology. The increasing capabilities of computer technologies and software make it possible, using adequate mathematical models, to predict the dynamics of various systems and processes and obtain improved versions of them. The presented material serves to consolidate a special lecture course in the disciplines: "Modern problems of applied mathematics and computer science", "Using Maple analytical computing system to solve problems of applied mathematics", "Using information technology to solve problems of sustainability", "Mathematical models in natural science", "Solving problems of technical computing" in the areas of training "Applied Mathematics and computer Science" and "Fundamental computer science and information technology". This material contributes to a more efficient use of computer technology in solving specific problems of system dynamics, oscillation theory and motion stability theory. The solution of the problems under consideration is carried out using the Maple analytical computing system.
