If indigenous cultures of Latin America have been criticized during decades, they now arise an interest which is an opportunity for some localities. This way, the Boruca community is developing itself by selling touristic handcraft. White cultural entrepreneurs, who have been taking part in designing this production, now use it as a symbol of authenticity and autochthony in various arena, for the constitution of a new imagined political community and its representation in the tourism market.
