QĀRI' ACTIVITIES IN THE DEVELOPMENT OF QIRĀ'ĀT SAB'AH LEARNING METHODS IN LANGSA CITY

Abstract

The development of qira’āt sab’ah is an activity that is absolutely necessary for every qira’ah teacher ( qāri’). It is important to transfer the correct reading according to the provisions recommended in Islamic law. Therefore, the development of qirā’āt sab’ah must be encouraged in Langsa City community. The result showed qāri’ah activity in developing qirā’āt sab’ah, namely by holding trainings (learning) qirā’at sab’ah, The Musābaqah Tilāwah Al-Qu’ān (MTQ) event, qirā’at sab’āh, learning and teaching activities at the IAIN Langsa campus. As for the method applied (qa>ri’), there are only five methods, namely bil ifrad, Jibril, Talaqqi, Muẓākarah and bil-jama’ with theoretical and practical learning models, positive public response to qirā’at sab’ah learning with the existence of this activity helps them to understand qirā’a>t sab’ah, whilenegatif public response who are feel proud/embarrassed to participatein this activities.
