Social-emotional skills, essential for the integration of thoughts, emotions and behaviors, can be taught and strengthened in school. The research approach is quantitative, the method is non-experimental. The results show adequate learning of socio-emotional skills, highlighting that empathy is the most outstanding skill, while leadership and self-regulation emerge as the least developed. It is highlighted that the students' perception leans more towards theoretical knowledge than towards practical application. This finding underscores the importance of addressing the gap between theoretical understanding and effective implementation of social-emotional skills in the school context.
