Generación de resúmenes escalables de video

Abstract

Procedures for generating video summaries, allows to obtain a synthesized sequence of the information contained in a video. In this context, the summary duration plays an important role because sometime summaries with varying duration are needed, so the scalable summaries allow to respond to this necessity. In the present work a new Revista Cubana de Ciencias Informáticas procedure is proposed, which has been developed with the aim of obtaining scalable summaries according to their duration. The procedure developed is based on a summary creation process with very well established stages for an efficient generation of it. The results obtained show compatibility with various encoding formats, what generates summaries for various lengths in an efficient way. The effectiveness of the procedure, confirmed by means of the work results already obtained, guarantees its application potentialities in systems developed for managing, processing and transmission of audiovisual materials.
