A scheme for growing mixed K _2 Ni _x Co _(1−x) (SO _4 ) _2 · 6H _2 O (KCNSH) single crystals under conditions of supercooling at 5 °C–10 °C without spontaneous crystallization in solution for more than a month has been proposed and implemented. The growth method is implemented according to the ‘rotor crystallizer’ scheme. The crystals grown were characterized by optical spectroscopy and x-ray topography. The crystals obtained demonstrated the optical properties necessary to create effective UV filters.
