Strindbergs Dramatik in Bratislava (Pressburg) auf Deutsch

Abstract

In the 1920s many dramas by August Strindberg were staged in German in the Municipal Theater in the multicultural city of Bratislava (Pressburg). This article focuses on their reception on the basis of Bratislava’s German-language press and shows that Strindberg’s dramatic works played a substantial role in the cultural development in the given period.
