Fenomenologia Naturalizada: O Estatuto Husserliano e as Ciências Cognitivas
Abstract
The present study is a historical and theoretical analysis of the current proposal for a naturalizedphenomenology. Initially, it reviews the main concepts of Husserlian continental phenomenology, asintentionality and reduction, to describe the paths between phenomenological philosophy and the empiricalinvestigation. Subsequently, it contrasted two movements supporting the naturalization of phenomenology: theheterophenomenology and the embodied mind. The third and last part of the study confronts theneurophenomenology, a recent front on the naturalizing project, with the current critics about the break-uprepresented to the Husserlian phenomenology. The authors conclude that the neurophenomenology, eventhough apart in some aspects of the philosophical phenomenology, presents itself as a rich field for theexploration and dialogue between self-reports (first person data) and observation (third person data) inneurocognition research.
