Festival activity of the Institute of Journalism of Borys Grinchenko Kyiv University

Abstract

The article considers the subject of festival activity of the Institute of Journalism of Borys Grinchenko Kyiv University. In particular, the festival activity is considered as social work, career guidance, an image event, a non-formal education. Festivals that are organized by the educational institution during the academic year are named and characterized. The aim and tasks of these events are identified, the results are analyzed, the role and place of festival work during the educational process are described. The authors of the research considered in detail the festivals of the Chair of Publishing Studies. Drawing on their own experience of organizational and teaching work, the authors conclude on the additional opportunities of non formal education and the students acquired during practical training of skills, skills and professional competences.
