Jacques Henriot et les sciences du jeu ou la pensée de Villetaneuse
Abstract
This introductive chapter looks back on Jacques Henriot’s conception of play, from his first phenomenological approach grounded in his philosophical work about obligation, to the approach centred on the idea of play, questioning the uses of the word in relation to the way “play” is thought by each of us. This new orientation is linked with his participation in the creation of a degree and a research centre inside University Paris 13, the main campus of which being located in the city of Villetaneuse. It brings him to develop the project of “sciences of play” which was carried on at University Paris 13 through a large diversity of researches in dialogue with the thought of Jacques Henriot. Other contemporary researches as well as this new journal intended to present them are consistent with such an agenda.
