This article presents a brief systematizing of the main theoretical principles of the teaching-learning process, and the developing teaching in the Cuban context, taking as a paradigm Doris Castellanos Simons (2002)´s criterion of making emphasis in their dimensions and indicators; Fatima Addine (2007)´s criteria on the topic are taken also and the demands for a developing teaching are stated explicitly, assuming Margarita Silvestre Oramas (1999)´s criteria; as well as some actions for guaranteeing self preparation, diagnosis, planning, development and control of the educational process, in order to contribute to increase the scientific level of teachers. It also proposes a guide for the methodological analysis of units of study.
