Total Quality Assurance Management Practicing in Registration and Admission Sections of Al-Quds Open University-Gazza
Abstract
Abstract The aim of this study is to identify the extent of the application of total quality management in the departments of admission and registration at al-Quds Open University- Gaza Strip. The researcher designed a questionnaire to collect data for the study from the community of workers (28 employees) in the departments of the admission and registration of the university in Gaza Strip. The researcher used statistical methods to analyze data and study as percentages, means, T.Test test, Pearson correlation coefficient, and the stability factor Alpha Kronbach, by applying Statistical Program for Social Sciences SPS. The researcher also used the descriptive analytical approach in this study. The study founds that the dimensions of the application of total quality management accepted by 64.3%, and that there is a positive relationship between each of the commitment of senior management to support the application of total quality management, and personnel training, and participation of workers in the administrative process, the obstacles application of total quality management side and the dimensions of the application of total quality management also it found that the level of awareness among workers of total quality management is not clear, and proved to be attributable to differences in the characteristics of the demographic and job dimensions of the application of total quality management qualifications except where a difference between a diploma and a bachelor's average. The researcher adopted some recommendations included the need to strengthen the awareness of workers about the concepts and principles of total quality management through the promotion of a culture of quality in the QOU. The study also recommended the need for training courses in various disciplines, especially in total quality management TQM and the need to exchange experiences with the various universities and colleges in the Gaza Strip and the West Bank also Arab and International Universities to benefit from their experiences in the field of total quality management and other areas, and appointing a coordinator for the total quality management in Gaza Strip with an emphasis on carrying out further studies on such subject.
