We describe the discovery of a specific lesion related to long prayer. This lesion is located around the lateral malleolus in a group of diabetic patients who suffer from peripheral neuropathy and who are of the Muslim faith. Methods: Retrospective review of case notes. Results: Excessive pressure during prayer, which is not felt by the patients owing to neuropathy, provokes a specific lesion around the malleolus, leading to a risk of complications with the diabetic foot. Conclusion: Simple prevention of excessive pressure must be implemented in such a manner to avoid the appearance of lesions during long prayers in patients of the Muslim faith.
