Les inégalités socio-spatiales d’éducation au prisme de l’action éducative locale française : le cas de la réforme des rythmes scolaires dans une ville française
Abstract
The paper will analyse the reform of school timetables set up in France at the start of the 2013 academic year. Thanks to a monographic study of different schools in three districts of a French city, the point is to focus more specifically on the conditions of the reform's implementation and what this shows about the evolution of local public action and the handling of educational inequalities at this level of government. This reform takes places in a context in which municipalities have more space in the field of local educational action, either by volunteering on their part, or by delegation of state competences. Nevertheless, not considering existing inequalities in the implementation of these new competences (human resources, finances, collective action capacity, political backing, etc.) tends to increase the gap between areas that are able to act on educational inequalities and this, in infracommunal and communal scales.
