The Dynamic analysis during an open-switch fault in a PMSG drive system
Abstract
The accuracy of dynamics of the PMSG drive system during the open-switch fault (OSF) occurrence is significant for diagnosis and control. To ensure this, this paper proposes a dynamic analysis method by analyzing discrete-valued variables and event-driven dynamics. According to the analysis of discrete-valued variables, the varies trend of gate command signals and the reason for the damage of symmetry in 3-phase stator current(SC) are obtained. The research on event-driven dynamics finds that at the time of the zero-state of SC the lower-tube voltage couples with the generator voltage and the change of SC is related to fault location. The simulated and experimental results confirm the accuracy of the proposed method and verify the distortion rules which have deduced in theory. These rules can promote the diagnosis and control of the PMSG drive system after an OSF in the MSC in the future.
