To study the vibration reduction law of the damping ditch during the blasting seismic wave propagation, the indoor similar model test of damping ditch is carried out by taking the actual engineering as the background. By controlling the parameters such as the depth, width, length and relative position of the damping ditch, to study the vibration reduction law with the damping ditch parameters change. The grey absolute correlation method is used to determine the primary-secondary relationship of the influence of ditch parameters on the vibration reduction effect. The results showed that the blasting distance and the source depth are the key factors affecting the blasting vibration effect. When other parameters of the damping ditch are fixed, the smaller the blasting distance or the shallower the source is, the vibration reduction effect of the damping ditch is obvious. For the determined blasting construction, the ditch depth is a quasi-optimal factor, and increasing the ditch depth can effectively improve the vibration reduction effect.
