The importance of the educational context: educating cities

Abstract

Educating cities are a new urban educational model. They are thought to be the city model of the future, a public educational pattern. For many years different polis have tried to promote this kind of organization based on the formation, promotion and educational development of every citizen. This new educational microcosm searches the social, economic and political order guided by a cultural project that generates knowledge among the citizens and it is enhanced by their city councils and educational centres. In these locus, it is sought a connection with environment, the creation of all kind of facilities as well as the stimulus of actions and good practices for the educational, emotional, social development and knowledge of our future citizens and politicians.
