The Coupling Coordination Degree and Regional Difference of High-quality Development of China's Marine Economy
Abstract
Guided by the new development concept, this paper constructed an indicator system for the high-quality development of the marine economy, selected the data of coastal areas in China from 2007 to 2019, and analyzed the coupling coordination degree and regional differences of the high-quality development of the marine economy in China with the entropy method, coupling coordination degree and Dagum Gini coefficient method. The results showed that the development level of the five dimensions of the high-quality development of China's marine economy showed an upward trend, but there was a large room for improvement. The high-quality development of China's marine economy had gone through two stages including near imbalance and barely coordinated. The coupling coordination degree of high-quality development of the marine economy had the largest difference in 2007, and had shown a downward trend since then. The southern marine economic area and the difference between the southern marine economic area and the northern was the main reason for the difference of coupling coordination degree. According to the research conclusions, the corresponding suggestions were put forward to improve the coupling coordination degree of high-quality development of China's marine economy.
