This paper intends to demonstrate that artistic form can carry out a true educational action, in the lifelong learning point of view, coherently with the foucaultian concept of cura sui. Style is always the result of a dialectic conflict between universality and singularity, showing the constance despite change. To dialogue with the forms offered by tradition allows the subject to participate of culture and to use new expressive modalities. That is the pedagogical power of art therapy (or dance and music therapy too) which, especially in the immaterial era, allows to recover the matter virtual power, because able of infinite metamorphosis. Even in organizational contexts, a formation which we can define humanistic, based on narrative methodologies and artistic performance, is a vehicle of transformation and change, in the foucaultian esthetics of existence perspective, allowing to avoid bio-political traps.
