„ERA MAI BINE ÎNAINTE DE 1989?“, „AR FI MAI BINE ÎN AFARA UNIUNII EUROPENE?“

Abstract

The article aims to provide some answers based on scientific data to two questions that deeply disturb the current Romanian society, namely: whether “It was better before 1989”; and, subsequently, whether “It would be better outside the European Union”. These are also the favorite themes exploited by the misleading propaganda of Russian-inspired Romanian extremist groups and parties. According to data and economic evaluations provided by specialized national and international institutions and the relevant academic literature, the answers to both questions are categorically negative.
