The agricultural strategies in Morocco are focused on the human element and support solidarity agriculture to promote rural development. In this context, they provide technical, financial, and commercial support to cooperatives, encouraging their multiplication. However, despite some success, several cooperatives have failed or are operating inconsistently with the basic principles and values. This article questions the cooperative bricolage that does not correspond to the image promoted by international bodies but can be an asset for the renewal of rural societies and economies. The analysis is based on the case of the goat cheese terroir of Chefchaouen, including surveys conducted among agricultural actors at the regional and departmental levels, actors of the sector, inhabitants, and consumers.
