The article analyzes the content and shape of the recently published work by a famous writer A.Volos, who does not see his four relatively autonomous novels as separate, thus serving an example of positive experience in modern Russian epic poetry. United by historicism, serving the basis of narration, the novels describe dramatic destinies of the same characters. Much prominence is given to the composition, psychologism, and word usage. Reasoning and conclusions are based on analytical publications, and the writer’s own perceptions concerning his work.
