Anaesthetic approach to perioperative pediatric pain
Abstract
Understanding, assessing and treating pain are faced with an increasing commitment to personal and economic resources, thanks to a new approach to the problem and the possibility to use new drugs and devices. In pediatric, processing of analgesic protocols involving the use of locoregional techniques allows obtaining positive clinical findings in terms of efficacy and tolerability. The adopted methods allow you to treat adequately the pediatric patient and differ substantially from those of the adult patient. The author presents proposals for treatment strategies with analgesic medications associated with peripheral anesthetic blocks; its meet anesthesiological needs for intervention and the treatment of postoperative pain in paediatric patients, in particular in the orthopaedic-traumatology field.
