This article discusses scientific communications, and the importance of the participation of undergraduate students in Mathematics at the State University of Feira de Santana (UEFS), in curriculum activities. The objective of the research was to investigate the role played by scientific communications in the Mathematics undergraduate course at UEFS. To achieve this goal, we used different methods in a combined way, combining the quantitative with the qualitative method. The research method worked, the survey, approached basically via questionnaire and interview guide, followed by the process of content analysis. We consider that scientific events create possibilities of interaction between students and professionals in the area and favor the access to new information. From the research carried out we understand that scientific events can help in the development of students' academic education.
