“The Personal Approach… Does it add competence to formation?” is an article of theoretical revision which presents the Personal Approach of learning processes as a theoretical platform that makes it possible to look further and focus not only on the analysis of performance competence, but to plan the adequate actions for its stimulation and development. The analysis of history and present of the Competency based Approach, the characterization of the Personal Approach of learning processes and the systematization of the advantages, that implie the integration of both approaches in terms of the educational stimulation, constitute the principal results of this work.
