Le français – langue mondiale ?

Abstract

The article is devoted to the social representations of the French language at the time of globalization. The factors that qualify it as global or not, as well as the impact of globalization on the teaching/learning of French foreign language and new challenges that should be taken into account are the main research questions. The research was conducted with French and non-French students in order to compare these two perspectives. It has a quantitative and qualitative character.
