GUIDANCE FOR CANCER PAIN TREATMENT IN ADULT PATIENTS

Abstract

BACKGROUND »Recommendations for cancer pain treatment in adult patients« were published in Sloveniafor the first time in 2001. Owing to new achievements in this field the Recommendationsneeded to be updated. Therefore, a new »Recommendations for cancer pain treatmentin adult patients« has been prepared. It is important for the claims to have the levelsindicated with Evidence Based Medicine (EBM), which is an established practice in thesekinds of publications. The indicated levels are described thoroughly in the Introduction tothe Recommendations which will be available in a printed publication, probably at thebeginning of the next year
