De l’usage et du mésusage du classement par rang en matière de médiatisation de l’évaluation internationale PISA
Abstract
The article shows that the classification of countries by rank has only a weak statistical meaning but its mediatization in particular in France has been used to legitimize educational reforms. However, the results of the PISA evaluation allow us to search for explanatory and comparative organizational factors in education altogether more interesting, sounder and more precise than classification by rank, since a clear methodology is formulated.
