Abstract

The paper presents the use of the floodplain along the right bank of the Sava River in Krško Polje for farming and gathering purposes. We have acquired a wealth of information about former activities in this area, which can collectively be referred to by the term exploitation of damp areas. The result of the research is a set of specific human activities located in exact points in the landscape and the confirmation of the great importance that living in the immediate vicinity of water sources had for people
